"New Aussie punk that digs its heels in and leaves a bit of a mark. The parts are the same as you’d expect, but there’s a certain wiry sense in how the guitars clash and eschew color-coordination that’s entrenched in the country’s punk background. Kinda standard issues keep the A-side from laying in too thick, but it gets better on the flip, particularly on the closer “Bloody Rip-Off,” which borrows the sort of boxy, monochromatic, repetitive strum that Eddy Current nailed so well, adds a keyboard and a blank stare, with “It’s pretty embarrassing/to be from the same town as you,” singer Kurt reveals (they’re all named Kurt, supposedly, at least for the purposes of this band). Crazy cartoon sleeve art ties it all together. If this is the best these folks will ever do, that’s alright. Heinous Anus is like two-for-two." - Still Single
